Arthur Holm: Transforming Auditoriums into Hybrid-Ready Spaces

At Boston Scientific España’s headquarters in Madrid, the auditorium - designed by Figueras Seating in partnership with AV integrator Avanzia - features Arthur Holm’s DB2 retractable monitors, the DynamicMCS camera system, and DynamicTalk UnderCover. Together, these innovations create a state-of-the-art environment for impactful presentations and hybrid events.

At the tribune, up to six presenters enjoy crystal-clear visibility of their content through DB2 monitors discreetly integrated into the desk. Designed to appear only when needed, the monitors preserve the elegance of the wooden structure while adapting seamlessly to different scenarios. Whether the tribune hosts one speaker or six, it always maintains a clean, modern, and professional look. Both the DB2 monitors and the DynamicTalk UnderCover system - Arthur Holm’s retractable solution for gooseneck microphones - have been veneered in wood, making them virtually invisible when retracted.

For added functionality, the DynamicTalk has been customized with HDMI, USB-C, USB power, and a power outlet, all hidden beneath the wooden cover when not in use.

The experience extends beyond the desk with DynamicMCS, a system that ensures every presenter is perfectly captured on video for high-quality live streaming and hybrid collaboration. More than just a camera, DynamicMCS integrates video, audio, and voice into a single retractable unit. It combines an HD-SDI camera, an omnidirectional microphone, and a loudspeaker - each concealed within the desk surface when not required.

Crafted from durable steel and composite materials with a refined matte black finish, DynamicMCS is both powerful and discreet. With a simple touch of a button, the camera, microphone, and loudspeaker emerge, ready to perform. Smooth motorisation, flexible camera adjustments, and remote-control options ensure effortless operation and flawless results.

The DB2 monitor embodies the same design philosophy: sleek, intuitive, and invisible when not in use. It features motorized movement, an automatic 20° tilt for ergonomic viewing, and a coverless design that leaves the desk surface perfectly streamlined. This balance of function and discretion redefines how technology integrates into furniture.

DynamicTalk UnderCover adds yet another layer of elegance and functionality. This retractable microphone system allows seamless veneering for total furniture integration. Beyond hiding the microphones, it includes a subtle yet clear status light that indicates when each microphone is active. Thanks to its patented protective ring lighting, microphones are stored securely while enhancing flexibility and durability. For this project, the system was further customised with additional connectivity options to maximise versatility.
